Ashwin Kaja

Ashwin is an American educator, social entrepreneur, and lawyer based in Beijing and New York. He leads the Infinity College team in developing innovative and global educational programs. He has taught courses on international negotiations at universities around the world, including Renmin University (China), Jindal Global University (India), American University in Cairo (Egypt), and the National University of Malaysia.

Beyond his work in education, Ashwin serves on the global policy team of the international law firm Covington & Burling, assisting organizations, governments, and companies develop strategies for navigating challenging and evolving policy matters, including those related to international trade, investment, geopolitics, and technology. Through his previous law firm, which represented the majority of foreign universities with interests in mainland China, Ashwin also helped develop legal frameworks for international collaborations for a large number of U.S. universities.

Ashwin holds a B.A. magna cum laude in Economics and Government from Harvard College, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is fluent in Chinese and Spanish, and conversational in Telugu.

Dean Robin Lewis

Dean Lewis is an entrepreneur and educator from New York, who serves as the leading academic on the Infinity Campus team. Beyond Infinity Campus, he is the International Principal of the Future Leadership Academy (FLA), located in Lingshui, Hainan (China). He is also President of the International Development and Public Policy Alliance (IDPPA), a consortium of graduate policy schools in Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, and South Africa.

Dean Lewis is the former Associate Dean (1985-2007) of the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where he trained and advised thousands of future global professionals from 100+ countries. Prof. Lewis holds a B.A. degree from Sarah Lawrence College and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Columbia University.

JASMINE LAU

Jasmine is a social entrepreneur and educator from Hong Kong. She is part of the Infinity College team and is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Purpose In Motion (PIM), which aims to provide the funds, training, and networks for the next generation to maximize their social impact. Through education and technology, she strives to amplify the role and voice of young people in solving social challenges in addition to channeling philanthropic resources in a more strategic manner.

Aside from PIM, Jasmine founded EMBER (a girls education program in rural China) and Kliptap (a crowdfunding platform for causes). She has also worked in the fields of investment banking, Internet technology, and philanthropic foundations.

Jasmine graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Economics and Peking University with a Masters in International Studies. Jasmine has been named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list for her work in social entrepreneurship and is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper. She is a recipient of the Richard Rockefeller Fellowship and the Hong Kong Youth Service Award.

MATTHEW YOUNG

B.A. HARVARD COLLEGE

Matt is a lawyer at one of New York’s leading law firms, where he advises multinational companies on multi-billion dollar transactions and conducts global investigations. Prior to his legal career, Matt had worked for Bank of America and was the co-founder of an education company.

He is part of the Infinity Campus team and is focused on matters related to strategy and operations.

Originally from New Hampshire, Matt graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in Economics and obtained his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he served as an editor of the Columbia Law Review. He is fluent in English and strongly proficient in French.

KP THAI

KP is a learning scientist working to optimize student learning at major educational technology companies in the U.S. and China.

She has over a decade of experience conducting research on learning and cognition, and their applications to enhance student learning and engagement in the classroom and with adaptive learning software. KP also specializes in using analytics to evaluate learning outcomes and to draw insights for instructional design improvements.

KP earned a B.A. in Psychology from Boston College and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology and Quantitative Methods at the University of California, Los Angeles.

MIKAEL HVEEM

Mikael is a social entrepreneur, product architect, and CEO based in Beijing and New York. He leads Opn, a benefit corporation that provides an innovative digital platform to connect residents and organizations with government through the use of open data and AI technologies, and has spent half a decade in the field of public-private partnerships and technology in government. Beyond his work in technology, Mikael is an active contributor to the field of social innovation and entrepreneurship. He is a frequent speaker and has taught or lectured on social entrepreneurship and government innovation at institutions including Beijing Foreign Studies University and Columbia University.

Mikael holds a B.A. in Politics and Latin from the University of Oslo and Sciences Po Paris, and a Master of Philosophy, specializing in law and government, from the University of Oxford. He is fluent in English, French, Chinese and Norwegian, and conversational in Spanish.

AUSTIN VOLZ

Austin works on the education R&D group at Avenues: The World School, where he develops and tests new educational models, conducts empirical studies, and manages research into the global education environment. He is currently co-authoring a book on the science of learning.

Austin is an educator and researcher with an international background in education research, experiential education, and program design. His international experience includes teaching in Greece, a Fulbright in Germany and a research fellowship in China. As a Visiting Scholar at Fudan University (Shanghai, China) he researched Chinese models of, and motivations for, liberal arts and science education.

Austin received a B.A. from St. John’s College and an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Yan is an interdisciplinary designer based in San Francisco and London with experience teaching in the classrooms of France, designing extracurricular programming in China, and facilitating innovation & strategy workshops in Asia, Europe, and North America.

Beyond her work in education, she designs products and experiences that unmask beauty in the broken or the unseen through her design studio, Studio I61:3, from repurposing food waste to designing a holistic program to restore power to the unhoused. She has worked in corporate innovation and product development, including taking a Red Dot Award winning product from concept to market in 13 months.

She holds a BA in Psychology/Foreign Languages from Lewis & Clark College and an MA/MSc in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a World Economic Forum Global Shaper. She speaks English, French, and Mandarin Chinese.
